Chillililli is based on Grandad Charlie's traditional Piccalilli recipe with a subtle sweet chilli glow. Enjoy the fresh crunch of the vegetables, the perfect balance of sweetness and pickle, followed by an unmistakable hint of Scotch bonnet to round off the experience and leave your taste buds singing!

How to use it:

Create the best sandwich filler or taste bud-tingling cheese and ham toasties.

Could do with more chilli heat.

When I visited Holy Island and tested your products I was very impressed and really enjoyed the tasting experience, however, I was advised I could purchase 3 jars for just over £12 or so. When I went onto your website to order this the only option was for 3 jars at £18.81 plus postage of £3.95. Not what I had been told and £10 or so over what I expected to pay. Very disappointing. I would have given 5 stars if I could purchase the deal I was promised!

Pleasant surprise.

I'm a total Calder's traditional piccalilli fan and considered it the pinnacle of piccalillidom however having tried the Chillilli I have to say it is a close contender. I'm not keen on chilli so I was a bit reluctant to try it but it has a really pleasant chilli warmth that just lifts the flavour without being too hot.
Trad is my go to, but chilli definitely has it's place.

This is fantastic stuff ,we put it on cheese and crackers, and in a sandwich with ham . Lovely! We buy a few jars at a time, even bought a catering jar . Never lasts long ,it's just so good and different.

Chillililli - Sillylilli and Piccalilli and loved everyone of them. Very hard to find I can sometimes get it in my local butcher. So have to send away. All my family love the Piccalilli

It started in Grandad Charlie's kitchen

Calder's began in the 1950s, when Grandad Charlie started making pickles in his kitchen for family and neighbours, a milkman from South Shields with a serious knack for flavour.

We still follow the same spirit today: bold flavours, small batches and proper ingredients. Every jar is made in his memory, just as he made it.
