This is one of our all time favourite recipes using one of our own products to make an outrageously good, yet very simple meal or side dish.
Kindly sent in to us by the Wilson family in Sunderland, the beauty is in both the simplicity and the stunning taste.
Using only 5 ingredients, taking only 15 minutes from start to finish and costing under £2.00 per serving to make. There really is nothing not to like about this dish!
Vegetarian Side Dish
Delicious side dish, which can be served with sausages, pork, veggie sausages or even as a side dish with a home made curry.
Very quick and easy, simply pan-fry half a large white cabbage on a medium heat, mix in the remaining ingredients and you have a delicious dish that will have your taste buds singing. Add or reduce Sillylilli for more / less heat.
½ a large white cabbage
2 Tbsp Crème Fraiche
1 Tbsp of Calder’s Kitchen Sillylilli
Salt & pepper to season
Glug of vegetable oil
Roughly chop the cabbage and pan fry on a low heat for 10 minutes until soft adding salt & pepper to taste
Add the Crème fraiche and Sillylilli (add more Sillylilli to increase spice)
Mix well and continue to heat on low heat stirring for 5 minutes
Serve with either meat or veggie / vegan sausages, as a side dish with a roast or as a jacket potato filler
