Ingredients: (per person)

  • 1 Egg
  • 20g porridge oats
  • 20g grated Cheddar Cheese
  • ¼ of a finely sliced onion
  • 1 desert spoon of Calder’s Kitchen Piccalilli*
  • Salt and black pepper
  • A little cooking oil for frying


  1. Place the oats, cheese, onion,and salt and pepper into a mixing bowl and stir well
  2. Add the Calder’s Kitchen Piccalilli and the egg and stir the mixture to combine everything together
  3. Heat the oil in a frying pan then add the egg mixture and shape into a round or square shape
  4. Fry on a low to medium heat until the burger is firm enough to turn over without breaking up then flip onto the other side and continue to cook until the egg has set throughout the burger

Serve in a round bun or sliced bread of choice.

*Also works with Calder’s Kitchen Chillilli and Sillylilli
